Chapter 92: Clearing Doubts
Marcella tried to be normal the whole day, but Gloria found out that she was not fine. She tried to probe her but Marcella kept her troubles to herself.
Marcella was a little jealous seeing the glow on Gloria’s face. Oddly, Gloria didn’t talk about her night but Marcella could see that Gloria was so happy as she had enjoyed her night.
I too had a good night. Until I let my doubts take over me...
Marcella sighed leaning on the chair. She couldn’t discern whether she was being careful or if she was being needlessly paranoid.
One thing she knew for sure—she truly was not ready for marriage.
But she cannot take it back. She needs to find a way to solve this.
There was a constant fight between her mind and heart. Her mind made her look everything with a doubtful glass, but her heart wanted to relax. She’s been living a wound-up life for years. For the first time after she left her family home, she’s found rest in Tony’s house. She didn’t want to lose it.
In the evening, she left early for the warehouse. She wanted to talk to someone about what Tony spoke about. If it was about her dad, there must have been a witness.
But who should she ask? Who should she believe? Randy or Henry?
She knew what kind of answer Randy and Henry would give. One does not like Tony and the other like him. Who would give her the truth?
Her heart leaned on talking to Henry. Henry wouldn’t lie to her.
She knocked on the door. Seeing her, the guy at the gates tensed. She could hear the rumblings happening inside the warehouse.
