Chapter 84: A Day Out
Tony woke up not feeling her fingers on his head. This was the first time she was feeling this peaceful. The wife’s lap is the most peaceful place on planet Earth; he can say with utmost certainty.
Seeing her sleeping peacefully, a smile bloomed on his face. He sat up and watched her sleeping face for some time. Her eyebrows were furrowed and he gently rubbed them. She mumbled something in displeasure.
Are you having bad dreams, Birdie?
He picked her up and walked to the bedroom. He had loads of work left. But he decided to stay with her for some time. Hugging her, he lay beside her. Watching her peaceful sleeping face, he almost fell asleep. But he got up to finish up his work. He wanted to spend the entire Sunday with her and the baby.

Marcella woke up feeling stuffy in her chest. The siren sound in the distance and the cooing of pigeons was what she got used to living in the city. But the heaviness in his chest and the tingling feeling in her neck...?
Rubbing her eyes, she opened her eyes to a thick tuft of hair in her view. She smiled seeing Tony lying on her chest with his hands wrapped around her waist as if she was a hug pillow.
This is nice...
She hugged him to feel the curly hair on his back. She loved that feeling. He was lying like a dead weight on top of her but she didn’t mind it as she enjoyed the feeling of his back.
She did feel the scars and got reminded of the "assignment". She couldn’t think of any situation where he would have gotten those scars. Who would have belted him? Was it his father?
After carrying him on her chest for some time, she couldn’t breathe anymore. She could see the baby trying to wake up. It won’t be long before he starts to cry.
She tried to gently make Tony get down from her. But he only held onto her tightly. She struggled her way out of his grasp and let out a sigh of relief.
