Chapter 73: Changing Habits
Tony clenched his jaws and averted his eyes. He looked like he was holding back. Marcella covered her chest with her arms and watched him without blinking her eyes.
She couldn’t even think that he might not be interested in her anymore. The proof was in the pudding. He desires her.
He says it was out of love. She didn’t believe in love anymore.
Aiden "loved" her and he wanted her to change to suit him. His version of love made her lose almost everything that once belonged to her. She lost her essence.
Tony’s "love" already took her sister from her. What more will it take from her?
She didn’t want to be deluded enough to think it was love that makes Tony desire her. At least she didn’t think it was the only reason. Lust probably plays a major role. He talked at length about fidelity and how that belonged to both of them. He must be keeping away from women after their marriage and since she is the only one available to him, he probably finds her attractive.
He didn’t find her attractive enough to kiss her before, right?
For the hungry, even a discarded piece of food would taste like a heavenly elixir. It’s human nature. She cannot blame him. She admired him though for his self-control.
"There... finished..." Tony closed the first aid box.
Marcella tried to get up. She needed to change. Being naked in front of Tony is not going to help her in any way.
She tried to sit up after laying on her back for some time and it was hard. Also, after being cleaned, her wound hurt some.
As she struggled, Tony pressed her to the couch and before she could blink her eyes, he ended up on top of her. His eyes ended up on her chest.
