Chapter 169: The Origin Of The Other Soul
Watching Lukyan die, invoked the same feeling in her heart as what Tubby’s death did to her. Clasping her chest that hurt so much, Alexandra knelt in front of the tree, in her spiritual form.
Her hand reached for the tree. She could touch that tree. She remembered Tubby turning into a Dagwood tree that day. He too hid his love in his heart and revealed it when it was late.
[Was Tubby Lukyan? If so, why did Luke have the appearance of Lukyan and Tubby? Even when I didn’t remember my past, was it his appearance that made me fall for Luke? Because he resembled Lukyan, I fell for him? Was that the case?]
She knew there is a purpose she’s shown all these things. All the memories that she probably sealed because it hurt her so much.
[Ah, right... My father! Does he have a hand in everything that happened afterward?]
"Oh, yes, he had!"
The voice beside her, although was familiar, made Alexandra jump.
"Cathlyn?" Alexandra looked at her sister now standing beside her. She too was in her spiritual form.
"He passed through many lives, and although he never remembered you in any of his lives, he never stopped searching. He didn’t know that he was searching for you, but he always missed a part of his soul that he wanted to find. He always had the Lukyan blood flowing through him although he had various appearances. He never married or even looked at a woman as a potential partner. He searched and searched, living alone, and got mocked as a madman by many for almost all of his many lives. Sadly, you two never were in the same timeline for you to meet, as per father’s will, until..."
"Until he was born as Maximillian Zoros," Alexandra finished her sister’s sentence.
She wanted that to be true. Now that she remembers Lukyan, she could see the similarities between Tubby and Lukyan, and Maximus too. They were all kind, strong, and took liberties with her. And they all held great love for her in their hearts. They all wanted her to do great things and wanted to watch her soar higher. They all wanted to kneel in front of her.
But she saw the difference with Maximus. He didn’t hesitate to proclaim his love for her and didn’t mind the fact that she was the Dragon King’s daughter. He must have come to accept in his soul the fact that he is a human while she is not, and yet he cannot deny his love for her in this life. He did lose her for many lives.
