Survive As The Brute's Wife

Chapter 115: Apology Is Not Enough

Alexandra looked out at the garden trying to find sharp words to say to him. But rather than the pleasant greenery in front of her, she found herself to be mesmerized more by his minty scent. She let out a sigh. There is no salvation for her, alright. She’s trapped forever to his allure. Defeated, she spoke to him as a lovely wife would talk about her day to her husband. "She asked me to call her "mother". She wants me to relax as she has accepted me..."

Maximus looked at her lost for words. The brightness from the window illuminated her soft cheek and he observed her cheek gradually blushing red. No, she was not blushing out of excitement. Because if she was excited, her bright eyes won’t get red along.

"No, it’s..." he walked towards her. "She’s one of-"
