Chapter 32: His What Is What?
Maximus looked at those beautiful blue orbs that were like a pool of clear water reflecting the summer sky and his heart melted like candle wax near a fire.
"Can you see that you’re special to me?" he asked.
He shouldn’t be this happy by this simple thing. She is understanding how important she is to him. That’s what he wanted to show her and she got it. And he will continue to show to her and others how important she is to him.
He is not going to hide it like he previously did. His hiding led to dire consequences!
"I do," Felixa said.
He is not sad anymore and she could see his eyes starting to glow with happiness. That made the pounding of her heart worse. And so she bowed her head to avoid his eyes.
"You are special to me. Very special," he said.
Felixa closed her eyes as she felt his soft lips pressing on her forehead. She could feel something warm oozing into her head through her skin from his lips. Upon entering her skin, that warmth spread throughout her body making her feel like burning. Her palms tingled and she felt the energy dissipating into every fiber of her body making her feel energized.
"What is-" she looked at his face and she bowed her once more as she met with his eyes.
The beating of her heart was too much for her to bear and she felt like suffocating.
"Why aren’t you looking at my face?" he held her chin.
His voice didn’t carry any sadness but on the contrary, she could sense the little playfulness she had the misfortune to experience.
