Chapter 508: The Good News
When Xueman woke up, she was in a hospital bed neatly tucked in. A really nice smell of chicken soup entered her nostrils making her hungry and her stomach growled loudly.
"You are awake, Manman!"
The voice overflowing with gentle motherly affection, foreign yet so familiar, made Xueman wonder if she is dreaming and she blinked her eyes after rubbing it.
"Oh! Poor child! How much have you suffered..." Tang Weihua helped Xueman sit up.
"Here, drink some water first... I’ll go call the doctor and tell him you’ve woken up"
Before, Xueman could compose herself Tang Weihua had left the room.
"Who’d have the heart to hurt such a sweet child like this..."
Xueman heard Weihua mumble as she left and all Xueman could do was smile wryly.
Who? My own mother and sister...
Xueman looked around the big private room and her eyes widened, seeing Yuanjun’s third Sister-in-law sleeping in the attender’s bed with the baby and the second Sister-in-law sleeping in the couch, curled up.
’They came here for me? How long are they here? Were they waiting for me for this long? ’ Xueman felt a sweetness bubbling in her heart as she checked the time. She has been blacked out for five hours.
And the doctor came and did a general checkup and said she was weak and needs to rest properly and left.
