Chapter 459: Her Reaction And Decision
With spring approaching, the snow melted and the flowers started blooming in the courtyard. Xing was sitting in the grand pavilion of her courtyard and watched her sons playing around by the side.
Little Xinxin was jealous for a while after LianLian’s birth but both of them got along pretty well now. He felt pity towards his little brother gradually, who was too dumb to walk or talk like him and started to take care of him. He is almost three now and so he is a big boy!
Since her husband was reluctant to call their son by the name of Tianshi Emperor, she compromised to this name - ’LianLian’. Fortunately for her, he didn’t realise that was the name of their patron god.
They celebrated LianLian’s first birthday a couple of months back and it was almost grand as a state celebration as grand as the first birthday celebrations of Xinxin and the Imperial sons and daughter. Her father, Huang AoTian tried his kidnapping act a couple of times and even succeeded once, as he brought LianLian to the Prime Minister’s Manor. Xing knew her father was the one who took him from their Manor and just let it go. She knew what would happen next. As expected, LianLian caused a ruckus so big, her father had no other way but to send for Chenglei himself and handed the baby over.
"I was face to face with King Yan, Mingxia. His hair was silver and his eyes were green like a pool of emerald with golden streaks in it", AoTian complained his experience of handing over their son to Chenglei. Apparently Chenglei held a sword by his neck that day and almost killed him. AoTian never tried to even hold LianLian again.
Her younger son never left his father’s side. She nursed him herself and even when he was still an infant, he’d come to her only when he was hungry and at other times he’d hang on to his father and would cry each time Chenglei leaves out.
’Are you really my ancestor who wanted to be my son?’ Xing wondered looking at her son now tottering around. But she was ninety five percent sure that her son is the reincarnation of the Tianshi Emperor. He should have drank the ’soup of forgetfulness’ and forgotten his past. Also the reincarnation of someone will only have their deep wish integrated to their soul and otherwise they would be an entirely different person with different characteristics and ambitions.
Also she had another doubt. Ryuga’s wife gave birth to a daughter a month after LianLian was born and her first birthday celebration invitation was sent to her and as she was preparing for sending gifts, LianLian was too excited and even chose a beautiful jade hairpin for her. LianLian never got excited for anything till then and he didn’t get excited for anything else after that even though she sent gifts for a lot of people after that.
’Could it be, Ryuga’s daughter is Empress Shu’s reincarnation and LianLian’s deep wish to have his full life with his wife from precious life is manifested this young? ’
Xing sighed at the absurdity of her own train of thoughts, ’Let’s not think too much. These are a year old babies. What would they know about love and whatnot? It could be an entirely random thing!’
LianLian trotted along the plants plucking the leaves while Little Xinxin guided his little brother and supervised his poor little brother who still couldn’t walk properly like him.
