Chapter 421: Apology
Chenglei and Xing left for the West and Chenglei was hurrying her. Xing was surprised by his enthusiasm but she didn’t ask him anything fearing he might change his mind. He seemed to be of high spirits as of then.
She just picked the map the Oldman gave of Chenglei’s mother’s grave and decided to bring it up if the situation is right.
As they reached the way to the mountains, she saw the entire place dug up and she looked at Chenglei only to see him filled with guilt but she didn’t want to pursue that matter.
Let’s forget the past and look positively at the future!
"Hold my hand", she said and he gave his hand rather reluctantly. He thought she’d confront him about this but her actions made him ponder.
She does not really care about me enough to ask me about it. And he didn’t think he could talk to her about it himself. He never was someone who talks out his feelings anyway.
"Let’s walk together", she added her voice gentle and filled with affection. He had asked her to walk with him that day at the Jin Manor and she didn’t answer to his proposal that day.
I wish this rough times pass away soon, she wished in her heart.
Without minding the uneven ground she walked towards the mountain with Chenglei by her side. Chenglei who was looking at her side profile that was filled with gentleness before he looked down to see him walking on thin air along with her.
