Chapter 410: Wedding, At Last!
The day of the wedding, Xing woke up refreshed and looked out. Even though it was winter, the sun was up bright in the sky and the temperature was only mildly cold making it apt for a wedding.
She could feel the wind being crisp and pleasant and knew it should be the courtesy of the Tiger god who watched her grow.
Too bad he cannot be here!
Xing felt a little sad.
As soon as she woke up, she was surrounded by a horde of maids and they helped her bathe and Xing let them help her. The water had a nice aroma and at the right temperature and Xing thanked Mazu in her heart.
She then went to light up an incense for her mother and she thought of the Oldman too. Those two loved her dearly and really wished for her best and even though they aren’t with her now, she wished for their blessing.
Then it was time for her doing her hair and dress up. First they did her hair after drying it with an aromatic incense making her hair smell more pleasant than it usually is.
Her raven black hair that had grown longer than her waist was made to a complicated bun with the phoenix headdress along with some other gold hairpins fixed with precious metals.
Her face was made up in a simple way as per Xing’s preferences. She was beautiful on her own and too much makeup will spoil her natural beauty as they all knew.
Then her dress was brought by four maids since it was as heavy as Xing. Xing had no qualms wearing that beautifully made red wedding dress hand sewn by her best friend for life, Haru and his wife.
Then Maya and Shurei were the ones who brought her the veil.
"Mingxia! This should be only removed by the groom", Maya spoke in a strict tone since she knew this one is no stickler for rules.
