Chapter 407: Doubts
Xing was in her room in the Scarlet Wolf and was brewing tea for Chenglei. He was still sleeping in her bed. The little window in the side let in some sunlight that fell perfectly on his face brightening up.
These days through the travel, they’ve been sleeping together and even though Xing didn’t get the details about the woman he is going to marry, she decided to live cherishing the present.
Xing had a slight doubt in her heart that maybe, just maybe she is the bride. Even then or now, he wouldn’t be the kind of man who’d casually sleep around with women, right?
But there was this another voice in her head that said that who in their right mind would marry a woman who cannot contribute in bringing the next generation.
Also if he wanted to marry her, he’d have told her first right?
Xing looked at Chenglei sleeping peacefully and he looked like the little boy who used to stay in her house. He used to get sick a lot in those days and would sleep deeply back then too.
Xing smiled and sat beside him and fixed the stray hairs falling over his nose. A stubble made an appearance in his smooth flawless face and in the sunlight, it looked like dew drops.
Poor guy drank a lot last night since she offered to teach him how to drink and he still couldn’t hold his drink. And after their "overnight activities", he got more tired and still haven’t woken up.
"Here, Drink some tea"
Xing gave a cup to Chenglei who just woke up. He squinted his eyes as the sunlight fell on his eyes and Xing pulled down the curtain in the window.
"You look terrible", she chuckled seeing the man who looked unkempt.
"Uh! Let me sleep a bit more!", he pulled her to his side.
