Chapter 363: She Felt Like Was With Different People
The situation in the hall went extremely tense as the darker aura Xing felt enveloping the entire place. Just as Xing was about to use her powers to trap the dark presence, the elder stood up and took a deep breath. He had a calm look in his face as his eyes opened and he mumbled something and clapped his hand and Xing felt a wave of brightness pulsing throughout the room and the swirling darkness spreading through the room paused and got concentrated around the Elder.
Is it going to attack him? Xing wondered and before she decided to jump in, the door slammed open and it was Bai Li who entered there with his dark robes fluttering in fury.
"Bai Li? ", Xing called him but his usual careless smile was not what she saw but his face that looked tight with his Jaws gritting, lips tightly closed and eyes glimmering red, had a deep emotion, something familiar to her.
It was a mixture of loathing, hate and a surging desire to kill. She couldn’t tell if he hated himself or the other person and he looked helpless and determined at the same time as if he was not thinking straight and his silver hair fluttered by the surge of energy emitting from him.
Xing turned to look at the darkness in the room accumulating and it merged to form a humanoid form that looked exactly like Bai Li and a loud laughter filled the room.
"Lass, Leave", Bai Li uttered as a low grumble his voice filled with coldness, without even looking at her. And there were some mumbles that filled the room and Xing could not understand it and it seemed like no one else heard it as Chenglei gripped her hand and pulled her towards the door but Xing stopped him.
Xing looking at the different Bai Li in front of her, felt stunned to even move. She always knew Bai Li hid a lot from her but the one in front of her seemed entirely opposite to the gossip and wine loving, dramatic Bai Li who took care of her in the palace just three years back and the one who’d appear each time she was in danger the last three years.
What happened, Bai Li? Why did you change too?
Xing held her hands out to grip his sleeves but he took a step to his front and her hand gripped thin air and the coldness emitting from him and the way he acted made Xing remember the day Chenglei pushed her away after forgetting her.
Why does everyone leave me?
As Xing was dangerously close to being sucked into the vortex of depression as triggered by similar situations, she felt a gentle hand patting her head and a crimson coloured figure blocked her view from Bai Li,
"Child! This is his fight... Now leave with your man and stay in the house prepared for you", the Tianshi Emperor’s familiar mellow voice flowed like a gentle stream of water on a parched land quenching her fear and she nodded accepting.
