Lady Hehua brought them there and they had to walk for almost an hour before reaching the town where they lived.
As they reached there, they were greeted with surprised looks of the children playing around and even the women stood being their doors and peeped at the guests who were brought here.
Xing who was waking with her eyes wide staring at everything around tripped on a stone lying in the road and Chenglei walking by her side, held her hand,
"Careful!", he urged her and she nodded.
For a moment he was scared but then he found himself smiling seeing her hand in his hand and he didn’t let go as she seemed to not mind.
Well, there is good in everything it seems!
Xing was happy they were walking like they used to - hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder with her not worrying if she’d lose her way.
"It’s already evening... We’ve prepared a house for you and there is warm water and everything needed for you and your husband. So get changed and come to my house for dinner where we can discuss further... And Xiao Táng, don’t forget to wear that brooch", Lady Hehua pointed at the brooch.
Me and my husband? That does have a nice ring to it! Ah, if only!
"But Lady Hehua...", Xing pointed at Chenglei and was about to correct her that he is not her husband in case he misunderstands her but before she could finish, Chenglei interjected, wrapping his arms around her shoulder,
"Thank you", he even gave a polite bow, "Me and my wife will take our leave now", he forced Xing to turn towards the house arranged for them.
"And Xiao Táng! Address me as Commander Xia from now on! Go... Go... Help wash your husband. He looks impatient.. Take your time, I’ll wait! ", she had a playful smirk in her face making Xing blush.
