Chapter 345: Last Chance
Chu Weiye stepped in with hasty steps and her eyes focused on the one who was sitting there wearing a wolf fur coat indoors with someone servicing her foot. In her anger she didn’t realise the one kneeling in front of the woman he hated was her father. That’s how consumed with rage she was as she walked towards Xing,
"You vixen! How dare you?", she coughed as she had ran here from the banquet Hall.
"Continue!", Xing switched her foot and silenced Lord Chu from speaking. His back arched a bit more seeing his daughter behaving like a shrewd in front of the Emperor and Lord Li.
Has she lost her brain?
"You..."
"Ah! The elegance of the Empress of the Great Wind Kingdom I restored!", Xing sneered interrupting Weiye.
In fact Xing was hurting in her heart seeing the extremely uncouth behaviour of Chu Weiye who had a slightly protruding belly. She must be at least six months pregnant. Xing could sense she had twins in her belly, a boy and a girl. She felt happy.
But it hurt her that Weiye is not worrying about her bearing as the Empress or about the health of the babies she is carrying and is acting like a loud mouthed stupid woman right in front of her husband who is also the Emperor.
How blind was I to bring her into the palace? Was she always this terrible? Or because she knows she can’t be moved out of her position and no one else is challenging her, she’s become this brazen? Well... Anyhow, this cannot be allowed to continue anymore.
"You... How dare you...", Weiye mumbled and stepped back in fear at the sharp eyes of Xing that looked like it would cut her to pieces. In a moment the entire study turned a bit more chilly.
"Bow to the Emperor, first... Your highness!", Xing stood up and untied the fur cloak revealing the white tiger token all the while glaring at Weiye. She gently placed the cloak on the chair after folding it and walked towards Weiye who stood there stupefied by the mocking tone Xing used at her.
" Did you see your daughter’s behaviour, Chu Yixin?", Xing kicked him in the stomach and he bowed clenching his belly and coughed blood by the strength of her hit. Xing had no intention of letting the Chu family alive after that day.
