Chapter 336: His Fiancé?
Xing wandered around in the streets for sometime trying to figure out how did Chu Weiye end up in such state and she couldn’t find out why. Didn’t she want to be the Empress and now she is one? Why can’t she be happy getting what she wanted and let others be happy too? And what would make her hurt an innocent animal and raise her hand to hit her own son?
Xing felt tired with all her thoughts and she found a restaurant and entered it. Since she was alone, she just tried to find a seat in the common area.
Xing was walking looking to her side and there was this other girl who looked barely sixteen in nice clothes walking with her maid. The girl was loudly talking with her friend, another girl on their way out of the restaurant and Xing bumped into her and the girl who was really short hurt her face a bit as she bumped into Xing.
Xing felt the sharp pain in her shoulder and turned to apologise but before she could say anything, the girl’s maid started screaming at Xing,
"Where are your eyes? Can’t you watch while walking? Now kneel and apologise to my mistress", she went on blabbering making Xing flabbergasted.
"Both of us are at fault. So why must I be the only one apologising?", Xing wasn’t pleased. The clothes Xing wore always looked simple even though they are pretty expensive. Only those who has seen such fine silk will recognise it and for others it would look ordinary. The maid looking at Xing felt like she should be some poor woman with no background and since she is not apologising to her mistress she was not pleased.
The girl who was talking with her friend wasn’t pleased by Xing’s reply either.
"You there!", her friend called a waitress there carrying a bucket of dirty water to dispose off, "Pour that water over her... She insulted my friend!"
The waitress looked at Xing and she was rather confused as to what she must do... Both women are above her status and she wasn’t willing to offend one or the other. She was even scared to look at Xing who by now was irritated and shooting daggers out of her eyes.. What an unlucky day!
Seeing the waitress paused, the maid of the girl plucked the bucket from the waitress and with no second thoughts poured the dirty water at Xing.
