Xing moved to the Rui Wang Manor and only after moving there did she realise that Chenglei is her neighbour and she was pretty sure he was the one who forced the Emperor to let her stay here. She wondered what he might be planning and ended up smiling as Chenglei started visiting her often. That morning Xing was doing the accounts of her lands in the Eastern Province. Her lands have been giving the best yield these past years and she was careful to cultivate different pulses from others and that always gave her a good profit too.
The people celebrated the festivals for the gods without fail and the seasons changed as it should, with apt rain, making the farmers happy. Xing’s place was mostly filled with the tribals who entered after the war and by her constant observation, the people have integrated pretty well with their kingdom. They were paid exactly the same as the other people in their kingdom and their quality of life in their kingdom improved and they were all thankful for the mysterious owner of their lands.
