Chapter 332: He Never Forgot This One Thing!
Few days passed and as Xing found a good physician from the demon realm with the help of Bai Li for detoxification of her father. She knew it is gong to be a tough procedure since he’s been exposed to those poisons for a long time and they had only less time to get it out of his system.
When Xing asked Bai Li’s help, she didn’t expect he’d being the miracle doctor from their realm to cure her father. Demons rarely come to the human realm for helping them. Xing thought she has to pay a lot for that physician but he just bowed in front of her saying it is his honour to serve the Prince of Heavens, a fact that she almost forgot. She chided Bai Li for spreading that along but he said that the demons can sense these things by themselves.
Well! Whatever! If the best doctor wants to help me for free, why not! Xing shrugged it off.
Chenglei felt like taking the Prime Minister out of his Manor will be risky since he is sick and so they decided to take her father to her courtyard which is now without inhabitants. Apparently Takano wanted that courtyard but her father vehemently opposed in letting anyone other than his favourite daughter to stay there.
So with Bai Li’s cloaking spell around her courtyard, the courtyard looked empty even though there were some people living in there. The entire capital city was under tight scrutiny because someone kidnapped the Prime Minister while the prime minister was going through excruciating pain in his Manor as the toxins left his system.
Xing with tears in her eyes unable to bear her father’s sufferings, stayed with him and held his hands through it all. While she was taking care of her father, it was Chenglei who took care of her.
The physician said that night was pretty important in her father’s recovery as the last sediments of the toxins accumulated in his body will be flushed out by the medicinal bath and she spent the entire night sleepless by her father’s side even though the physician asked her to rest. Chenglei forced her to eat something and she refused to rest until her father recovered.
"Look at this lass! What difference would it make if you stay awake or not?", Bai Li materialised startling Chenglei and he touched her forehead putting a spell on her and she fell asleep immediately. He picked her from the side of her father’s bed to get her rest comfortably in her bed when Chenglei blocked him and insisted that he carries her.
Bai Li could see jealousy written clearly on Chenglei’s face and decided to tease him a bit.
"Who are you to her?", he asked Chenglei and laughed in his heart when he saw his face changing colours.
