Chapter 305: Closed Heart
Few days passed and Xing was swinging in the swing Chenglei got for her eating some candied cherries as she was reading a letter she got from Ayane saying that they had gotten behind the trail of a big gang who smuggled poisons from the Fire Kingdom and when they probed further they found the connection between Shihong and the gang leader. She asked her to be wary of the repercussions of the dismantled gang as she worried that some of the members might have gotten into the wind kingdom.
Ayane wrote in detail that when Xing asked about finding the case of the switched medicines for her Uncle’s pharmacy they didn’t find much first. But when they found a related incident where an important official of their court got sick of poisoning, the investigation got reopened and when the middlemen were interrogated "properly", they spilled the beans that their boss knows someone who knows someone from the fire Kingdom and their gang specialises in getting poisons for assassinations.
’They sang like a bird’, Ayane wrote, when they were interrogated by Yi Kwan. Then brother Lee laid a trap and he caught the leader, when asked properly, mentioned Shihong’s name. When asked about the switching of medicines meant for the Huang Pharmacy, the leader joined the dots and cursed a silver-haired man who gave him the idea to expand his business to the Wind Kingdom which eventually lead to his incarceration.
Xing had a smile in her lips thinking of her silver-haired Prince. Guess he has started to act! He instigated the leader to mess with the Huang business knowing that she will launch an full-scaled investigation and then one of the associates of Shihong will be brought down. He is always the smart one!
So it won’t be too far for me to face Old Rong from now!
Xing was happy and she really missed Chenglei and wanted to meet him soon. She has these dreams where he is touching her all over a lot these days. It is like they say, the monk who tasted meat once would never be a vegetarian! She really wanted her prince more!
The past week, Xing heard that the Emperor visited the Fengyi courtyard three times and felt like the relationship between him and Chu Weiye must be improving. But looking at the Emperor with dark circles in front of her insisting he’d have breakfast with her, she didn’t know what to think.
Xing let him in and the maids served him breakfast that was made for her with her waiting for her share to be prepared while she was given a letter.
The Emperor was in deep thoughts as he was physically present here but his mind was elsewhere. Since he had decided that he’ll take Weiye as his wife and have kids only with her, he decided to visit her often and the last two times, after dinner, one thing led to another and they ended up on the bed without even talking much. And after that when the maids brought up the bathtub to washup, they couldn’t stop getting their bodies tangled together there too.
Even the previous day, he couldn’t concentrate the entire day and even the ink he was grinding smelled like Weiye. So he left his duties and unfinished work and went to her courtyard. While walking there, he realised they were only doing "it" and not talking much.

So he decided to learn about her preferences and likes that night and even though her bed looked inviting, he started to make conversations but all he could see was her naked body throught the sheer nightgown she was wearing. She came closer to him to get his overcoat as he felt hot and her brown hair flew in the gentle breeze bringing in the scent of blossoms and grazed his face. The next thing he knew is his arms were wrapping up around her waist and him scooping her off her feet and ending up in the bed while tearing off the clothes she wore that covered nothing.
