Chapter 287: A Lion Replaced By a Hyena
Xing and Seiren waited by the shore for the arrival of the Admiral of the Sky Navy, Jubin Arsalan. A big ship was anchored at a safe depth in the sea and they noticed a small boat ferrying five men to the shore.
Xing remembered how Chenglei promised before that he’d take her to the Western Sea.
But here I am... Without him, On my own... With no news about him!
She was sulking and seeing her down, Seiren tried to cheer her up, "That Warship is the ’Soaring Lion’, the biggest and deadliest Warship ever built and was owned by Marvan Arsalan, the ship that led every battle they had. The sight of this ship itself instills fear. Look at the sails..."
Seiren started to speak about ships which Xing had no interest in and she observed the ship and it did look majestic and intimidating.
" Why is the carving in the bow of that ship not a lion? ", she interjected Seiren who was too immersed in his sailing jargon. He seemed to be really interested in sailing.
Seiren looked closely and noticed that too, "Weird!", he said. The Arsalan Navy is known for the lion carvings in their ships and the ship with the name of ’Soaring Lion’ is said to have a lion with wings carved in the bow.
So why is the carving looks like a scarcely clothed woman now?
"Milord, that Jubin is said to be not of..."
"I’ll keep my temper", Xing interjected the concerned Seiren.
Everyone were comfortably seated and tea and refreshments were served and Xing could not handle the attitude of Jabin.
He felt the cold breeze in their kingdom too warm and the sweets weren’t sweet enough for him and the tea wasn’t even comparable to the hot water in their country.
