Chapter 241: Tribute Animal?
Seeing Xing with swords in her hand, the men engaged her in order to subdue her. They have been advised to be vigilant with her as she was too strong to be careless about.
Xing was with two swords in an attack position when they tried to get to her as Chenglie who was sitting in the tree was observing her and it reminded him of the older days he’d watch her fight those thugs in the western province too and he felt nostalgic.
It is more her style to lure them into a more spacy area and attack them all at once as she is not one for patience to attack them one by one. She gets tired too.
That’s when he saw a couple of men approaching her stealthily from behind and gripped his crossbows and aimed to hit them. Usually Xing doesn’t watch her back and that is her weakness and Haru knows it too and that’s why they always fought back to back.
But even Chenglie was surprised that she realised those men there and stopped their axe wielding hands from ever working again. The others started attacking her immediately too and the entire place was filled with the noise of the clashing weapons and the groans of the men falling down at her feet, grovelling.
The gentle light of the fullmoon, reflected in her sword that made it look like it was creating lightnings.
Chenglie sat comfortably supporting his chin on his hands and looked at the one who was calmly handling those men with her scarlet clothes fluttering and her golden braided hair coiled around her neck. She had danced rather provocatively for him before which he enjoyed immensely but why is she looking more alluring today with those double swords in her hands?
Those swords are meant to be carried only by the One above all, the Emperor of the Wind Kingdom and since the Kingdom is formed, none of the Emperors had used it for combative purposes. The Tianshi Emperor had his own sword and who knows which Emperor had used it for fighting before? Here she is, soaking the Yin-yang sword in blood of these filthy men. I bet the swords would be happy to Serve their purpose of protecting the innocent.
My adorably gallant kitten!
Chenglie could not help but adore his woman and he noted that she is cutting the tendons of these men one by one so they cannot touch their weapons again. Usually she never is this brutal and would just disarm them.
