100 Ways to Solve a Murder

Chapter 186: The Skeletons VI

Marco watched as the blond leaned back on his chair and closed his eyes, what was going on in his mind, he couldn’t even imagine, and silence passed them for hours. He too closed his own eyes, searching for anything to make the discovery better. How could it be better? All along, she had been going through that, and she didn’t say. From the beginning, she had been silent about her pain, agonies.

Is that where her will to provide justice for others came from? Was it her trigger? Most likely, yes. Living her life as a forensic pathologist when she could be anything she wanted to be. Anything at all. And she chose something most people wouldn’t be able to live by.

Exposure to nightmares in real life. All of which was nothing compared to the very thing she saw herself as a child.

"Oh!" Levi said out of the blue, reaching to Pattin’s journal on the table and flipping through the pages.

She was there; she knew the M.O because she had witnessed it, it had been engraved in her beautiful mind, Levi thought as he recalled how she reacted during Pattin’s arrest, she knew he wasn’t the guy. She knew because she saw him.

"What is it?" Marco asked, watching the blond skim over a particular page, reading.

"She knew the murderer. She knew who did it. That’s why she left, she was certain he was still out there." Levi informed, still searching. He knew there was a link with Pattin and Sam’s parent’s murderer.

"She knew Pattin wasn’t the man who killed her parents. But how did Pattin know the M.O? It can’t be a coincidence. So, that means Pattin knew her parent’s killer." He continued, fingers flipping pages.

Levi shot Marco a look, " And where do two murderers meet?" he asked, a little bit too enthusiastic in Marco’s taste after finding what he was looking for in the journal.

"An institution!" Marco exclaimed, finally getting the right answer. Levi grinned at him proudly, showing Marco an entry on Pattin’s journal. On it was written, ’Crowside Manor Healthcare Services.’

Levi stood from his seat after getting the address and grabbed his suit jacket, putting it on, and Marco knew they were on the move; he also knew that Levi wasn’t telling him everything he knew. He was keeping something from him.
