Chapter 170: The Wilson’s Double Murder Case
Two weeks later, Jackson Detectives Agency.
Mike shot Alex a look while the younger man sat on the desk beside him in the Office. He gestured to their bearded boss, who was heading to the blond’s Office after the psychologist asked to speak with him after weeks of silence between them.
The boys were aware of what occurred two weeks before, something that honestly surprised them. But then again, Joe had always betted that one day the two geniuses would shag out the palpable sexual tension that they had denied for years.
Looking back months ago from where it all started, Mike realized that the two had seemed significantly closer, he should’ve paid attention to their body language more, but he was too busy dealing with work than taking notes on his boss’ possible sex life.
Marco knocked on the office door, "Levi," he greeted timidly as he entered. "Marco." The Irishman greeted casually, skimming through a file in his hand.
There was a long pregnant pause, a pause Marco felt uncomfortable with. He had learned from Elle that Levi had not shown up in Sam’s lab since the incident; they had not been seen together, nor had she been in Eastbourne from both the boys and Mrs. Whitehall updated chatter.
So, they imagined that it was safe to assume they had called quits.
"Levi." the bearded man tried to get his friend’s attention again, who was clearly in deep thought. The blond Irishman’s eyes widened in surprise; he was distracted. Why did he call the man to his office again?
"Ah, yes! Davies called for a case; double murder. The bodies are in the mortuary, up for it?" He asked. Marco furrowed his brows, "Yeah, yeah." he agreed, and Levi swiftly returned the file to the cabinet under his desk. Then he stood up, grabbing his suit jacket on the cabinet behind his desk and putting it on before heading out the door. "But--" Marco added, causing Levi to turn to him frowning. "What’s the craic?" the blond man asked.
Marco rubbed the back of his neck, noticing that even though the boys were not blatantly looking at them, he knew that they were listening. "You and Sam," he stated, a bit concerned. And guilty, they caused this. Whatever that is that the two were going through. This unnatural thing that was happening, they; Lisa, Elle, and he did this.
