Chapter 168: The Intervention II
Restaurant, Parliament
Sam shot her brother an apologetic look, and she turned to the bearded man.
"I’m in the middle of dinner, Marco, can’t this wait?" she asked, not wanting to make a scene in front of her brother. Marco fisted his hand, "No, Now. Please." he demanded, catching the redhead off guard. Marco was usually the patient one--he was always proper, but she knew this was not a request right then. Something really serious must be going on.
Sam turned to Ivan across the table, "If you excuse me." she said, and he nodded graciously. "Go ahead." He said, and she walked away with Marco and Lisa.
They find their way in an empty hallway near the Loo.
"What is it?" Sam asked, wondering what was going on. "Levi and you..." Marco almost seethed it out.
Sam frowned visibly, lost for a moment till Lisa gave her a look...and she catches on,
"Oh?... Oh!" she said, eyes wide. ’HOLY FECK,’ she thought.
"You’ve been shagging all this time. How can you do that?! You know he’s still dealing with his gambling addiction. This has to stop." he said, then he gestured to where her table was, clenching his jaw, "Right now you’re dating, and you’re...I can’t believe it." he said, disappointed.
"That’s cold, Sam. Even for you. No, especially for you." Marco corrected himself, ignoring Lisa’s hand on his shoulder, trying to catch his attention--she wanted to tell him that the man at the table was her brother and not a romantic date like he assumed. But he was too upset to even feel the hand on she placed.
"Marco, can we-" Sam tried to tell him, ’can we talk about this somewhere else?’ But the G.P. continued with his rant, clearly upset with the knowledge--all this time; they had been lying to everyone.
"Just STOP SHAGGING my best friend! And you can date anyone you want." Marco insisted, bawling his fist.
