100 Ways to Solve a Murder

Chapter 129: Babies?

7 Eastbourne Rd

Levi sat on his chair, watching Sam follow the blonde toddler tottering around his flat; the slicked blond had an evident scowl on his face.

"Why did you have to agree with this?" he asked, clearly annoyed.

Sam spared him a look but followed after Lizzie, ushering her out of the kitchen. It was not a place for a child, with all the lab apparatuses and chemicals. If anything terrible happens to her, Sam is certain Lisa and Marco will kill her. More so, Lisa.

"No, no, no, not there." Sam pleaded to the toddler, holding her tiny hand in hers and walking back to the living room.

"Marco and Lisa need some alone time." She reasoned, feeling bad for the couple. Since Lizzie came along, they had not had a decent date night, and a couple of days ago, she overheard Marco asking (pleading) Levi to look after Lizzie just for a few hours. But Levi simply shot him his exclusive, ’Are you stupid?" look at the GP.

Of course, Sam offered her help, behind Levi’s back, knowing full well he would disagree. What she didn’t anticipate was the day the couple planned to go out.

It was a Saturday, and that was Levi’s and hers’ Game Night. And as she expected, he was not a happy camper.

"Their coupling is none of my concern Sam." Levi spat coldly as the two sat hand in hand on the sofa opposite him. Sam looked at him curiously, more on his choice of words. At least he didn’t say sex in front of a toddler whose mind resembled a Sponge, absorbing everything she could learn.

"Marco had been desperate; they haven’t had any for months." Levi tattled, looking at Lizzie, tottering towards his desk, and started messing around with his papers on the table. Sam held the smile on his face; Marco did sound desperate. And he was so grateful when Sam offered to be of assistance.
