After discussing a few more logistical details - tentative release schedules, soft launch partners, and the inevitable leak-proofing of [Spider-Man: Web of Destiny], the energy in the room slowly began to taper off.
The big decision had been made, for now, at least, Regal had done what he came to do.
He stood up without fanfare, sliding the sketch back into his coat like it was never meant to stay on a boardroom table too long.
Carrow nodded once, Tolliver offered a more personal farewell - just a quiet ’Good luck’.
And Stain? He just smiled.
Regal wasn’t quite finished though.
Before leaving, he addressed something lingering in the air, which wouldn’t be in the film.
He admitted the script wasn’t finalized yet, but the structure was clear in his head. Then he dropped the first major divergence: this Spider-Man wouldn’t shoot webs from his wrists.
Instead, he would build his own web-shooters, tech-based.
But that wasn’t the point.
It was never about the webs.
