I shook my head with my hands clasped before me. "I- I didn’t..." I was still speaking when she let out a loud crackle. A quick glance behind md revealed that no one would be coming by anytime soon, which means no one would know what she’s about to do to me aside her girls who were all wearing dark grins as well.
"You were sighted by not just one of my girls, but three. I just had a bad feeling you wouldn’t take my warning seriously, which was why I told my girls to wait outside and alas, they saw you sneak into his wing, and saw you exit his wing with him in tow." As she spoke, my heartbeat kept accelerating even more.
Shit. I completely forgot about her, else I’d have mentioned it to Sloan last night.
"I’m sorry, I only went to tell him that I won’t be able to come see him again, that is all, I swear!" I cried out desperately, my heart still racing. I was feeling so nervous right now, cause my throat and arm which got cut with the knife this morning were still hurting, and I wasn’t sure my body could handle anything else in this stage seeing as should literally be resting right now.
"You stupid liar." The princess let out as she kept regarding me. Then she closed the distance between us and crouched low before me as she continued.
"Remember what my warning was?" She asked and my eyes widened as I stared at her, while slowly shaking my head, which made her laugh loudly before she backhanded me hard across the face.
"My warning was that if you’re ever sighted when the Prince, who is also my future husband again, that you’ll be dead. I remember telling you this, didn’t I?" As she spoke, my eyes widened even more and I desperately shook my head. I did remember her saying this word, but I guess it slipped my mind that she could actually do as threatened.
When she pulled back and rose to her feet, she motioned her girls over, while mg eyes widened even more as I glanced around for a means to escape again.
Should I make a run for the entrance? No one was standing there, it’s just that I wasn’t sure that would help or worsen my situation.
