Chapter 40: Order
Sloan
I was sitting across one of my couches here in my living room, located in my wing. I’d have been completely relaxed right now, but thanks to the people present with me right now, I was the complete opposite.
"So, are you gonna tell us about the boy?" My grandfather asked this time. I pursed my lips and remained silent because I wasn’t ready to spill anything about him yet to anyone, not even to my grandfather who I liked.
"No, I’d rather not." I muttered and my grandfather laughed, but my father seethed at the other side of the room.
"I still can’t wrap my head around why you let a human spend nights in your room. Even if you fucked him, he’s not deserving enough to sleep in a Prince’s room. In case you might have forgotten, humans are slaves and nothing more. They cannot be anything other than that no matter what," my father pointed out and I rolled my eyes, ignoring his unsolicited opinion which no one asked for
After lilac left this afternoon, my room had felt stupidly empty, like something important was missing. I knew it was because the boy wasn’t present anymore, and I desperately wanted to order my butler to send for him at once, but then I didn’t want to give into that urge too easily because it was an intense urge that was genuinely worrying me a little because it was unlike anything I’ve ever felt.
I let out a huff and pushed my hair out of my face, while an image of the human appeared across my mind. An image of his sleeping was what was present, after he fdlll asleep last night, I stayed up watching him like a creep and storing all of his features in my brain. Like the fact that he had cute little freckles scattered all over his cheeks and nose.
It was honestly the cutest thing ever, and the way he slept was just so adorable— the way his lips are slightly parted in his sleep to let out small breaths, the way his lashes flutter across his cheeks, the way his nose twitches every now and then. Just staring at him and doing nothing was really soothing and I liked the sight more than I was comfortable admitting to myself just yet.
"Anyways, I was here to inform you that your three cousins have arrived." He announced and I had to suppress a groan.
I hated my three cousins, the one that he was clearly referring to. They were the first children of his three younger brothers, and I disliked them, because from a young age, they had formed a clique and liked to mess with a lot. As we grew older, I was now stronger than them combined together, but I couldn’t exactly kill them if I wanted to because of my father.
