I moved so fast the air couldn’t keep up with me. The wind screamed in my ears as I tore through the halls of Lunar Crest, the blur of stone walls and flickering lights melting into nothing but motion. My heart beat in my throat, louder than any siren.

Faster.

My wolf was clawing at me from the inside. Pacing. Snarling.

We must save Maeryn. We must save her now.

The name echoed like it had weight in my bones, like it so strange yet so familiar

But I didn’t know anyone by that name.

Not really.

And yet... my chest ached every time my wolf said it.
