Chapter 19 - 018: Reprimand
Bai Xue took her little daughter out for a stroll. Of course, Old Mrs. Ye, who lived in the same room, noticed it, but she stayed in the East Room with Ye Ling and never went out, like air.
A dreamless night.
The next morning was the twenty-ninth day, and every household was preparing the dishes needed for New Year’s Eve tomorrow. However, there was no activity in the courtyard households. In the morning, Ye He Ping called home, saying that on New Year’s Eve, he wanted the family to go to the company and spend it with employees who couldn’t return home.

This was why the company established the family courtyard to gather families together, allowing employees to focus on research and development.
Bai Xue liked this because it saved money. After all, New Year expenses couldn’t be as frugal as usual, so she had to buy meat and eggs. But with the current family situation, they had to stretch every penny, making Bai Xue reluctant to spend on food.
Fortunately, her husband’s call reassured Bai Xue, so she waited for the company car to take them to the company tomorrow. Over the years, Old Mrs. Ye and Ye Ling came to the city for New Year only twice, whereas Bai Xue usually took her little daughter to the company. Now with the elder daughter and mother-in-law also going, Bai Xue had new concerns.
Her mother-in-law and elder daughter dressed too shabbily, which would disgrace them. Fortunately, new clothes had already been purchased for them the day before, which was fine for now. The remaining worry was the elder daughter’s temperament, and Bai Xue was genuinely concerned that she might cause some trouble.
