Chapter 118: [R-18] A Publicity
She chuckled. "I shouldn’t? Really, Andrew? Those rude comments online, calling me a gold digger and a bitch, do you think I wouldn’t get affected? My reaction is just normal. I have feelings, too. I want to work so everyone could see me differently. I don’t want you and Brie to get humiliated and criticized because of me."
"You don’t really need to work." Andrew sighed. "But if that would lessen your anger toward those people and it would help you achieve something, then fine."
Her eyes widened. "Really?"
Andrew sighed again. "Yes. I got your point. But I don’t want you to think that you didn’t achieve anything."
"But I really didn’t—"
"What about Brie? You, being her mother. It’s an achievement, Nina. Our daughter is smart and has a good heart because of you. That is your greatest achievement. You don’t need money to achieve anything or prove them that you’re not someone they said you are because you are the most selfless woman for me." Andrew said in a gentle voice.
Her heart skipped and she fell in love with him again. Her tears started to fall. She was hurt by the way people see her and was afraid that it would ruin Andrew’s reputation.
She quickly ran toward him and cried in his arms.
"I’m serious. You really don’t need to work but if you feel like you need this, then I will support you." He said.
"Yes. I want to work. My friends also earn money and were not just receiving support from their husbands. I want to help with everything I can." She sobbed.
Andrew wiped her tears and kissed her gently on the forehead.
"Okay. But once we get married, promise me you will help me with the company. You should be helping me now, but you said you want to get a job on your own. Consider it as an experience and knowledge to prepare yourself for a bigger responsibility."
