"Phew," I sighed after putting in the last book I had to keep in my locker and then I shut my locker, but as soon as I did, I saw someone standing beside me and I screamed inwardly.
I couldn’t show I was startled because I was trying to keep this neutral stance where I appeared to be a very boring person with a boring reaction.
"Hi, I heard you’re new." It was a girl with braces and pretty freckles on her face.
Despite her braces and freckles, she looked really pretty.
’I wish I had freckles.’ I thought.
I recovered from the shock very quickly.
"I hope I didn’t startle you." She said but I shook my head.
"No, it’s fine."
"Cool. So, I was told by the principal to be your guide." She said and judging from the first impression, she looked like she was the chatty type. So, I might not need to ask anything before she explains it.
I guess that works out. I don’t have to talk then.
"Welcome to Steven High, newbie. My name is Cha Hye-Jin and I’ll be your guide."
