Chapter 204: What point am I trying to make?
I’m not trying to dismiss Min-Cheol’s hard years of living, his struggles, and all he had to do to maintain the position he is in right now... The rich had it easy, but only when talking about them, never lacking food, a roof over their head, and comfort.
But even their comfort came at a cost.
The struggle of a normal man may not be compared to that of the Alphas who were raised with an iron fist and a lot of priorities set out for them to the point that they had no smile on their lips when growing up... Except Ki-hoon, though, he lived a pretty normal life. I’ll get to that when I get to the point of Ki-hoon’s past.
Anyway, what was I saying? Ah, yes. The struggle of an average man was nothing compared to that of the Alphas, who had to deal with a lot of conspiracies, keep the company afloat, and also keep up their image for the public.
They couldn’t trust anyone and always with high vigilance, fearing that someone might stab them in their sleep.
It was a hard life but because they grew up with this hard life, they probably don’t feel it anymore and think of it as their normal way of life.
For an average man, they’d need to struggle to find a job, start a family, and still provide for that family, and though it’s not easy, they look up with envy at the rich.
They envy their wealth but don’t know how they got there.
That’s the problem. People only ever look at what’s on the surface and never bother to look at what’s underneath the surface.
If they did, they would never want to live the life that the rich were living.
What point am I trying to make?
