Chapter 197: ... compelling him to want to ’change’ his actions towards me
While I slept, it seemed like a few things happened. Jin-Yeok returned to let me know that the food would be ready soon but he found me sleeping like a cub on my back that was yet to be fully healed.
Yet, he did not try to turn me around since I looked comfortable.
So, instead of waking me up, he lay on the bed and watched me. He watched me with such interest that he did not know how the time went by so fast.
I was an intriguing person, as well as the kind of person he would love to be around for the rest of his life.
Don’t ask me how I know this. I’ve gotta let you guys in on some of the things that happened while I was asleep, right?

Okay, so he stared at me with a loving gaze, as if I were the treasure he never knew he would find. I know, I’m praising myself too much but it’s true. That was exactly the kind of gaze he had when watching me as I slept.
And because I was the treasure he never knew he would find, he felt reluctant to take it. He was scared. Scared that he could break that treasure as well as chase it away to go into hiding once more, leaving him in a vast ocean with no clear goal in life.
He stroked my hair gently and then leaned in to kiss my forehead before getting out of bed, and he left.
Just like that, he left, probably planning to maintain more caution when handling me.
And then after he left, about an hour later, Seo-Jun walked into the room. Like a thief, he peeked into the room first and when he saw that I was sleeping, he slowly and silently walked in, shutting the door behind him.
