Chapter 25: Seriously man, who are you?
I stared into Ki-hoon's eyes. I was... Having a fever?
No, more than that, the gaze of pity in his eyes had melted, leaving a soft gaze as he stared into my eyes.
Wait, what was going on? Wasn't he going to 'check' me? Not that I was anticipating it or anything.
He was just staring at me with a warm gaze I had never seen on his face before.
It was strange and quite disturbing. Just when I thought he was doubting me and wanted to actually do something such as check my body to make sure I wasn't tainted, he simply pressed his head on mine to check my temperature and told me I was having a fever.
It was as if he cared.
Now, I don't want to start having false ideas and get my hopes up but when he's staring at me like that, I honestly don't know what to think.
"A.. a fever?" I asked in a stutter and he sighed.
"It's what you get for spending the entire night at the library," he said and I gasped.
"Wait, were you the one who carried me to my room?" I boldly asked, grabbing his collar and he looked down at my grip. "Ah, I..." I quickly released my grip. "I'm sorry, master."
"The heat of your fever seems to be getting to your head," he said, dismissing my question, and was about to get down from the bed when I grabbed his arm. "What is it?"
