Chapter 1107 - 1103: A MOTHER’S JOY & FURY
At that moment, Lim Ji-soo, who was on the verge of having a heart attack, having failed to monitor what was happening inside, finally saw the screen lighting up. Her eyes flickered with hope but then she saw something that made her heart almost jump out of her rib cage.
She was looking right at her as if she knew she was being watched.
As her heart was thumping nervously, she saw Diamond opening her motuh and shortly her voice rang in her ears through the phone’s speaker.
"Aunty, you can come in. It’s done!"
Then the old lady’s heart sank.
Was she angry or disappointed?
She didn’t even register the fact that Diamond just told her that it was done. What could be done?
Thirty minutes, the sound of things getting shattered nearly hurt Diamond’s eardrums as she watched a mother’s anger and fury.
This all started to the moment when Diamond sat down with Madam Lim, in one of Young-Jae’s living rooms.
Young-Jae wasn’t staying in the main courtyard but was in his own courtyard. Every single child of the Jeong’s happens to own one, regardless of gender.
Understanding that a mother would be anxious and curious, she sat down with the other and avoided the room the young man was in. She didn’t want him to know much, lest he backs out on that date she shamelessly asked for.
Once they were seated, Diamond didn’t beat around the bush and told Madam Lim what was happening without any sugarcoating.
"Your son was targeted by a malicious person. A curse was cast on him. However, it is special and without the means or power, it is impossible to see through. I am not sure how the person who targeted him managed to get his or her hands on such an ancient curse, but if I haven’t been around, your son would have died in that sleep."
Shen then went on to explain vividly how this curse worked and how her son was conscious but unable to respond. How he was going to die if the curse continued to devour him. However, she shouldn’t worry much for she had gotten rod of the curse and sent back the curse to whoever cast it.
Lim Ji-soo’s reaction upon hearing all this was joy. Her son was healed and the ailment was gone. After that, it then sank that her son got cursed by such a malicious ancient curse and the woman was so enraged that she completely failed to hold herself and started shattering anything that she came across with.
Diamond, watched as the mother vented her anger. She didn’t need to worry about the shards as they wouldn’t harm her at all.
While that was happening, in the main courtyard, Ji-an was about to be driven to madness as she holds back Lim Ji-soo’s other children. She had no clue who leaked the news that her mistress shas brought someone to treat the young master. Now three of them were all clamoring to go and watch. But recalling what the madam has said, Ji-an couldn’t just let them go until she received a green light.
So, she used her tiny power and commanded the bodyguards to block the three and regardless of how much they cursed her, Ji-an steeled her heart and hold onto the forte.
"It’s not that I am being stubborn, but madam told me strictly to stop anyone of you, even the master from disturbing them."
"She must have been fooled. Let us pass through. You wouldn’t want to see the young master getting worse because our mother brought another shill here, would you?"
It was quite noisy and dramatic. The news even reached Diamond, who found the whole matter very amusing.
Knowing that it wasn’t all peaceful out there, she decided that it was time to let the mother cool down.
"Aunty, I know that you are angry and you deserve to vent. However, I am running out of time. Its time for me to leave."
Those words pulled Lim Ji-soo to reality. She sheepishly wiped her face, feeling a bit embarrassed with her actions but she couldn’t help herself at all.
As if understanding her thoughts, Diamond continued to speak, "before I leave, I will give you certain pills that you must feed him once he wakes up. He should be waking up in an hour or so. His body is weak and needs nourishment. So, give him this once he wakes up," and a pill bottle appeared on her hand, scaring the day lights out of Lim Ji-soo who wasn’t expecting a magic show out of nowhere.
What did she just see?
At the same time, Diamond, who had unconsciously done something also realized what she had done, and grimaced inwardly. She was in a hurry and her mind didn’t think well for a moment and exposed her abilities.
Anyway, the milk was already on the floor and it was too late for her to regret. She could only keep her nonchalance and continued, "there are five pills in there. Just give him one daily and in a week, he will be back to normal. If there is something that you don’t understand, just give me a call and I will do my best to help you understand. If I have free time, I will meet up with you. If not, then we can schedule. However, you don’t have to worry anymore. Your son is now fine, and you can be at ease."
Lim Ji-soo didn’t even remember what she said after witnessing such a wondrous and startling scene. She never thought that she would see a magic show, that it stunned her so hard, her mind felt blank.
Twenty minutes later, Diamond was standing by the car, getting ready to leave.
As for where those noisy children were, apparently, Ji-an successfully managed to get them all inside. However, Diamond knew that they were watching but she didn’t care much about that.
"Thank you for everything today. I will surely reach out to you and have a talk once I am done with this," Lim Ji-soo gratefully said.
There wasn’t much time for them to talk. It was getting late, and she needed to check her son. The private doctor was already on the way to check him. So much was going to happen and she couldn’t exactly entertain Diamond or keep her around as that would seem like imprisonment. Besides, knowing where to find the other person, the lady wasn’t worried about getting scammed.
Diamond responded, and after exchanging pleasantries, finally boarded the car and left.
After watching the car leave, Lim Ji-soo hurriedly went back to her son’s courtyard and this time she wasn’t alone.
