Chapter 1064 - 1060: A FATED MEETING 2 – GRACELYNN
Diamond giggled as she held the little girl who carried a pleasant and milky scent that was very comfortable.
The little girl’s arms were hooked around Diamond’s neck and her eyes blinking cutely as if taking in all of Diamond to imprint that in her mind.
When the little girl’s mother finally reached the two, she panted as she admonished the little girl, "Grace, why did you run off like that? Don’t you know that mommy is worried about you?" her tone laced with worry.
Diamond who had been so happy at embracing the little girl suddenly quieted down as she looked at the woman who had just arrived. Her happiness had made her forget about the little girl’s mother and hearing the mother’s worry, she couldn’t help but feel guilty.
If it wasn’t for her, the little girl wouldn’t have done something so dangerous and earned a scolding. Her heart ached but she knew not to speak out of line and just let the mother scold the little girl.
If she was the little girl’s mother, she would be worried as well.
Gracelynn shrank her neck and held tightly at Diamond making Diamond to hold her tightly as well which provided a sense of security for the little girl.
At the same time, Gracelynn looked at her mother with those big eyes that were starting to be filled with tears and upon seeing that, Penny could only sigh as she felt her temples starting to ache.
Who made her daughter so capable at acting cute and using the means she knows to manipulate her way out of such situations?
"You ... next time, wait for me, okay!" Penny could only acquiesce as she looked at her daughter who was on the verge of crying before she looked at the woman who had made her daughter act in a way she had never done before.
To be honest, she was taken aback when she spotted Diamond. How could that person be real? She wondered and as she does so her daughter has already slipped away taking her by surprise.
Now that she was standing in front of Diamond, she could understand fully why her daughter acted out of decorum like that. This woman was simply too beautiful and her beauty made it look as if she was just coming out of some manga or anime.
It looked unreal. No wonder why those people were looking that way. She was truly an eye candy.
When Diamond saw the mother surrendering that fast, she was pretty amazed at Gracelynn’s antics. She was truly ... nonetheless, she felt at ease knowing that Gracelynn wouldn’t be getting into trouble, at least for now.
She would feel very bad if she were to be scolded further or get punished because of what just happened.
With the little girl in her arms, she finally faced the woman who was looking at her, observing her and in her eyes, Diamond saw a glint of surprise. It was as if the woman had seen her somewhere, and perhaps just like her daughter, she was also comparing her to Isfrid the anime character.
Nevertheless, that wasn’t much of her concern now. She was holding another woman’s daughter and it wasn’t right to stand there without saying something as that would only make the atmosphere awkward, and there was no way she was going to make herself look like that when millions of people were watching.
She quickly adjusted her emotions and plastered a smile that came out naturally, blinding Penny for a moment before she was pulled back by Diamond’s melodious voice.
"Gracelynn’s mother, I am very sorry about this, but since this has already happened. Let us consider it a fated meeting. How about we get to know each other?"
Since Gracelynn was stuck on her body like a koala and wouldn’t be prying herself at any time now, she might as well get acquainted with the mother and maybe become sort of friends in this short time she had remaining in this country.
When Gracelynn heard that, her eyes light up and without saying a word looked at her mother, blinking cutely while communicating with her mother.
Penny laughed frustratedly for a moment upon getting what her daughter was conveying.
This little ancestor was really .... If she didn’t know that this was her daughter, she would have thought that someone swapped her for real.
Unfortunately, her daughter, a stunner for looks and facing someone like her favorite character simply threw her mother away and clung on a stranger so easily.
Her mother’s heart was bleeding.
Diamond suppressed a stifle upon seeing the interaction between mother and daughter. These two were truly ..... their way of communication was very unique. Understanding each other without even speaking. They must be very close, right?
She felt envious at such closeness.
’I will be closer to my children as well in the future,’ she could only comfort herself inwardly, trying to disperse the envy as fast as she could.
Meanwhile, Penny completely unaware of Diamond’s thoughts, soothed herself and repeatedly chanted inwardly, ’she is my daughter. She is my daughter,’ before facing Diamond to respond, "Sure. We are nearing lunch. How about we have a meal together, if you don’t mind?" inviting Diamond for a meal.
It was almost time for lunch and Penny wouldn’t mistreat her own daughter. When its time to eat, the little girl must eat. They were supposed to be on their way now but Gracelynn just had to spot Diamond and things became this way.
On Diamond’s side, she found the invitation very much to her liking.
She had almost forgotten about lunch thanks to the beautiful flowers that were charming her like a fox spirit. Now that food has been talked about, she started feeling her stomach protesting. She was happy with the invite.
She always believes that getting to know each other works well when people are eating. They become much more relaxed and the act of eating itself has a way of bringing people together and closer.
So, faced with such an invitation, Diamond readily agreed and Gracelynn became even happier, making Penny feel exasperated by her daughter’s actions.
