Chapter 1059 - 1055: ERIKA AND RAINE – TRUE FANS
Diamond’s eyes teared up as she watched that. She felt really touched to come across dedicated fans who love her so much.
"Thank you for loving me. It’s my honor," she sincerely thanked them, feeling that it wasn’t easy to have such people around her who loves her despite her flaws.
The two friends were very touched seeing her being emotional because of them. They both know and understand how much they mean to her. Just like how she was their anchor, they were also hers. They compliment each other as well as anchor each other.
"The honor is ours. Thank you for coming into our lives!" they sincerely and gratefully said.
Only they know how much knowing Diamond did to their lives and changed them for the better. Who knows how hard their lives would be without knowing her?
Diamond smiled cheerfully after hearing that.
After the girls greeted Diamond, they didn’t forget to speak to Gael and as they talked, the drinks and cakes were served.
The two girls put their conversation on hold and shyly asked if they could take a picture with the couple included.
"Just don’t expose him. Blur him and I will be good with that," Diamond generously agreed.
As long as no one exposes her boyfriend for her now, she wouldn’t mind any pictures or videos going online. That was free publicity. It was also another way of telling the girls that they could upload whatever they took as long as they don’t cross the boundary.
The two friends were naturally happy and promised to blur his face.
After the pictures were taken, Diamond boldly asked if they had taken any photos and the two fans didn’t dare hide the truth. They nervously showed her what they have taken and after going through some of them, she found photos that were much to her liking and asked the girls to send them to her on GEM. She will accept their friend requests after enabling the feature.
The two were happy with that and promised to send refined photos that would satisfy them very well.
After that, the two friends became much more at ease since the two didn’t put on any airs. Gael’s attention was on Diamond and didn’t bother with the fans, while Diamond happily listened to the girls who shared all the interesting places available in the city.
Diamond had a lot of fun with the fans. Unfortunately, the clock was ticking and they needed to start moving.
Before they parted however, she took with them some photos and signed autographs which made them very happy. Once that was done, they happily parted ways and the two girls were no longer reluctant to go home.
They were quite eager to go home, start editing and share the good things with others. Posting videos and photos, especially of Diamond on the GEM app brings a lot of contribution points. That’s how in a span of few months they managed to climb all the way to level four and became true fans. They were very dedicated and couldn’t wait to upgrade levels.
One day their fan color will be blue, just below Diamond’s diamond color and become super fans. That would be a true honor.
The two friends didn’t stay in the same neighborhood, so they parted ways at the rank and went their separate ways.
When they got home, on Erika’s side, the young student was naturally happy. There were no classes, so she was quite free to do as she pleases. She was currently staying at a condo, close to her university and away from her parents.
She was already in her senior year and staying at home was only stressful and she couldn’t bear it. Staying alone and near school provided her with a breathing space.
Her family wasn’t exactly bad. Her parents were good and treated her well, and so did her brother. However, the problem lies with her elder sister. Her elder sister was married at a young age. She was around seventeen when she started a family and ever since then. It’s like she has been carrying this resentment. Instead of blaming the elders whom she believes weren’t in the wrong since it was her sister who was adamant in being with that man who was ruining her and yet because of her pride refused to let her.
Her sister was so insistent in sending her to the same fiery pit.
She has her own ambitions and wanted to graduate, find an office job, earn her salary and live well. If she gets married, then the love should be reciprocal and the man should have means to take care of her as well. Yet her sister wanted to force her to marry some older guy before she even finished high school.
There were so many times her sister set her up but in order to maintain peace in the family, she didn’t tattle tale on her and just kept on fighting secretly.
Her sister thinking that she was afraid of letting the matter out even became so bold that she would harass her now and then making things difficult for her. In the presence of the family, her sister was a good sister and when they were gone, she was like the evil stepsister determined to take her life.
When she passed her high school, her sister tore her admission letter and she didn’t get it making her believe that she didn’t pass. Only to learn after the date of reporting passed that she had been sabotaged. Luckily, she managed to apply to her current university without her sister knowing and successfully entered.
She didn’t dare inform even her family and only did so once everything was settled. She didn’t even tell them where she was studying, because she was honestly afraid that her sister would cause problems for her and she didn’t want her life ruined.
She became even afraid of visiting home during vacations as her sister would be waiting for her there with a smile while back on her shameless tricks.
