Chapter 870 - 868: FRIN CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT 3
"Diamond, we have been thinking about making you the face of the FPD ....." one of the female officers patiently explained the matter and Diamond who had never thought in a million years that she would be asked to do something like that, looked at the officers with shock.
Was that really happening to her?
That was some huge improvement or should she say upgrade. By becoming the face of the police, doesn’t that mean that .... The thought of wearing a uniform and being on the banners while representing the police, Diamond looked at the female officer with stars in her eyes after the shock disappeared.
The officers at seeing her visible reaction couldn’t help but sigh with relief and at the same time found Diamond very cute. Without saying a word, her answer was already revealed. The pure joy despite knowing that there won’t be any incentive given to her except some awards and medals. It made them feel relieved and those officers who were at first against this idea couldn’t help but feel ashamed.
They were afraid that Diamond might look down on them and that wouldn’t sit well with them but now, they were also relieved.
Diamond didn’t even need Ivy to negotiate with her. She simply did all the negotiations herself while Kiara was busy typing a contract on her tablet.
"I don’t really mind getting anything from you. It’s better if that money is used to save more people or be invested in our hardworking officers," Diamond sincerely said as she looked at the officers before adding, "but you must understand that I am a busy person. If there comes a time you want me to do something, please inform me preferably two weeks earlier. I tend to schedule plans for the whole month in advance."
She didn’t want them to fight in the future because of such matters. So, she talked about them in the future and both parties didn’t mind at all which was very good for her.
Before signing the contract, which was still warm and fresh out of the printer, the captain brought up the matter of the concert she was holding in a few days.
"Do you have all the security planned out?"
"Um, I am but I am not sure if the numbers will be fine," she responded, her tone lacking confidence.
After all, with the comments she was seeing online. She had an inkling that some of these local fans might find themselves over. If that happens, what should she do?
