"Miss Diamond, aren’t you afraid of offending him? I heard that he has a high status in the city?" Lady Aumbrey asked Diamond a while later as the auction continued, a bit worried about Diamond’s provocation.
Diamond snickered as she glared in the direction of that man before looking at Lady Aumbrey and replied, "I have the capital to act like this. If he can dare find trouble for me, then let him try!" as a murderous glint flashed right through her eyes.
At that moment, these people had no idea that her filial son was already informing her about everything that was to be found in that man.
His whole assets weren’t even a tenth of hers, why did she need to fear a man who knew how to bully women?

Diamond wasn’t interested in buying someone else love token, however. When she saw that man biding for it, her eyes narrowed, feeling a bit vengeful.
