Chapter 124 - 122
The rate at which poachers were running rampant and killing animals was starting to get worrisome. A lot of endangered animals were only found in small numbers.
People were busy hunting elephants, rhinos and anything with tusks for their tusks and get ivory.
Some were hunting for fun and keeping the carcasses preserved as trophies. And then some loved feasting on endangered animals. Their stomachs were very important and found eating those animals a pleasure.
They felt entitled and were willing to do anything just to have a bite. With so many crazy people like that, how were these animals going to be preserved?
It wasn’t like there weren’t any domesticated livestock people could slaughter and enjoy. And yet, they still all choose to go for those wild animals that just want to live.
So, despite them being locked and caged, Diamond still felt that it was for the best. At least even if they died, someone would be there to hold a funeral for them.
She was reminded of the fateful day when her life was completely changed. All she did was run into a dead bird, which she buried and held a funeral ceremony for.
Who would have guessed that a simple act of kindness that wouldn’t have mattered to perform would give her so many blessings in the end?
Sullivan followed closely as he watched Diamond excitedly roam all over the place as she looked at the animals.
He could tell that she wasn’t faking it. She indeed loved animals and was very happy to be at the zoo.
It was only after two hours that Diamond decided to have a bite. Recalling how she had not eaten anything; the animals could still wait. Her stomach needed to be filled.
