Chapter 839 A Weird Guy
Not long after, Hera and the others heard a knock at the door. Hera responded calmly, "Please come in."
The door opened—but instead of a staff member, it was the man she had seen earlier in the other VIP booth. The moment he stepped in, his eyes immediately met Hera’s. She was seated directly facing the door, so she got a full view of him the instant he entered.
She raised an eyebrow, curious, while the man looked at her openly. It was hard to read his thoughts, but his dark eyes were like deep pools—mesmerizing, almost hypnotic. There was something dangerously charming about his gaze, as if anyone he looked at would feel like he was seducing them, pulling them in with a mix of intensity and allure. And he was undeniably handsome.
Maybe in the past, Hera would’ve easily been flustered—her heart skipping a beat or two. But after spending so much time around the male leads and getting used to their presence and charm, this kind of handsomeness no longer fazed her the way it might have once.
So instead, she simply offered a polite smile and asked, "What can we help you with, sir?"
Seeing Hera so calm and composed, the man raised an amused eyebrow, his interest deepening. From the moment she entered the restaurant earlier, his attention had been instantly drawn to her.
His eyes had involuntarily followed her every move—the graceful sway of her steps, the subtle flutter of her lashes. But what truly caught him off guard was her reaction when their eyes met.
Unlike other women who often looked at him as if he were some untouchable god, Hera had merely glanced at him—cool, indifferent. At first, he thought she might be playing hard to get, a common tactic to attract attention. But then, instead of sneaking glances or pretending not to look, she had done something unexpected: she casually closed the curtains, completely shutting him out of view.
That amused him even more.
