Chapter 690 He Has A Tattoo?
Left with no choice, the two women could only stand back and watch, initially worried. After all, these young masters had likely never set foot in a kitchen before.
But to their surprise, they handled everything surprisingly well, proving just how much effort they had put into making this breakfast special for Hera.
To give them some privacy and time to themselves, the two women retreated to the kitchen while Hera and the others ate, quietly eavesdropping as they enjoyed their breakfast.
Before long, Hera, Zhane, Dave, Luke, and Rafael finished their meal. Hannah and Amy quickly cleared the table and ushered them into the living room.
Since Hera couldn’t go out at the moment, she settled onto the couch, intending to check her phone for updates on the online discussions—only for Dave to snatch it away with a pout.
"Sweetheart, are you already tired of seeing my face? The moment you sat down, you couldn’t wait to look at your phone?" Dave pouted dramatically, clutching his chest as if wounded.
But Hera saw through his act—she knew he was just worried about her seeing the online discussions and getting hurt by the cyberbullying. He had no intention of giving her phone back anytime soon.
Dave slid closer to her, rubbing his cheek against hers. "Sweetheart, just focus on me for now, okay? Or I’ll be heartbroken." His voice was playful, but his actions were gentle as he discreetly placed her phone on the far side of the sofa, keeping it out of her reach.
Rafael settled on Hera’s other side and scoffed. "Who would even want to look at you? You look like a damsel in distress. I can’t tell if you’re trying to protect Hera or if you want her to protect you. Honestly, you look so fragile and useless."
Dave felt like he’d just swallowed a stone. He wanted to argue back, but if he admitted why he didn’t want Hera looking at her phone, it would make his intentions too obvious. Instead, he shot Rafael a glare, pouting in frustration.
"Sweetheart, look at this bastard," Dave whined, clinging to Hera like a wounded puppy. "All he does is make fun of me. My life is so hard. How did I end up being friends with such a crude guy?" He sighed dramatically, burying his face in her shoulder for extra effect.
