Before the woman could say another word, Dave turned to Luke and the others with a smirk. "What do you think? Should we just book the entire place to keep the pests away? No more bees and butterflies buzzing around, disturbing our peace."
"Seriously! This was supposed to be a romantic moment for us to enjoy with our girl, but now it’s being hijacked by some random person," Dave groaned, rolling his eyes dramatically before taking a sip of his coffee.
His tone was casual, yet the message was sharp, and it was clear that the sight of the woman’s tears had no effect on him.
The woman abruptly stopped crying, realizing that her emotional display wasn’t working on Dave—or any of the others. Her confidence wavered, and for the first time, she felt her charm and allure had been thoroughly dismissed.
’Who said men instinctively feel protective over a woman who cries beautifully?’ she thought bitterly. At this point, she didn’t know whether to feel humiliated or furious.
"Given the situation, do you think we should switch to a private exploration instead of roaming the streets?" Dave suggested, his tone light yet pointed. "Our sweetheart seems to attract so much attention that we keep getting interrupted, which is honestly a total buzzkill."
Dave spoke without a shred of concern for how his words might affect the woman’s feelings. Being repeatedly referred to as an interruption and a buzzkill could easily chip away at her confidence, but Dave didn’t care.
After all, he wasn’t the one who started this mess. It was the woman who had insulted Hera, spread baseless rumors, and let her jealousy and insecurity drive her to stir up trouble.
Among the six of them, Dave was by far the most outspoken. Known nationwide for his sharp tongue and unfiltered directness, his blunt behavior surprised no one tuning into Hera’s live stream.
