As they made their way through the garage area, the atmosphere became boisterous.
Fortunately, all the back doors of the other teams’ garages were closed, and everyone was preoccupied with their own tasks, so no one noticed them mingling with Phantom’s team.
Now, the NRT’s head mechanic understood why Hera had insisted on putting up screens around their garage; it was to keep the arrival of Phantom’s car under wraps.
After all, throughout all her previous races, Phantom had only ever used one car—a custom-built machine crafted from scratch by her head mechanic, featuring the best engines and parts available.
Once others caught sight of the car, they would instantly recognize who she was.
Since many were eager to see Hera fail, she wanted to maintain the suspense and reveal herself only at the last minute, just before the race began.
This way, the other teams wouldn’t know what hit them—or how they would be defeated.
