"Sasha?" Danny blurted out, his mind racing to process everything Larry had just said.
Both he and the coach felt as if their brains had been fried, leaving them grasping for the most ordinary word they could recall that came out of Larry’s mouth—the name Larry had just mentioned.
"Yes, Sasha—the world’s number one hacker," Larry replied. It was unclear whether he was a sadist, delivering a final blow that would send Danny and the coach’s minds into overload, or if he genuinely wanted to clarify just how far Hera had gone to assist them.
Either way, he intended for them to recognize her kindness in this situation.
At that moment, Danny and his longtime friend felt utterly overwhelmed.
This day had been so bizarre that they couldn’t tell if they were dreaming out of desperation or caught in some elaborate illusion.
It took them a while to collect themselves, but Larry remained patient, as if he understood the internal turmoil the two older men were experiencing.
Perhaps it was merely a courtesy to show respect for Hera, but regardless of his motives, Danny and his friend were completely mind-blown, left to ponder the depths of Hera’s seemingly complex background.
However, they would never have imagined or connected her to be the sole heiress of the Avery Consortium, especially with her stand-in still at Princeton.
