However, since they had started playing dirty, Hera saw no reason to hold back. She shifted gears, pressed the accelerator, and deftly swerved the rear of her car, catching the attention of the guy she had just overtaken. In a swift maneuver, she clipped the car to her left.
The sudden swerve of the rear end of the car on her right caught the driver off guard. As he struggled to regain control, Hera seized the opportunity to accelerate and break free from their formation.
However, her abrupt exit from the tight pack caused the driver to lose his balance. In a desperate bid to recover, he collided with the car on Hera’s left just as she left them in her dust.
The two cars collided, and the one behind them couldn’t react in time, getting caught up in the chaos. The right car slammed into the railing, while the left car spun out of control.
The car behind crashed into the left car’s front bumper, sending both vehicles careening into the railing.
Meanwhile, Hera executed a flawless 180-degree drift, her maneuver smooth and elegant amidst the screeching metal sound of cars behind her.
"Woah! That was a flawless execution! Those two really messed up!" the sickly guy exclaimed, his excitement bubbling as he pointed at Hera’s car, which sped off immediately after the drift.
"No, they messed with the wrong person," replied the other guy, his tone serious.
"What do you mean? Wasn’t it a mistake that they lost control of their wheels?"
"Tsk, tsk! No, that girl subtly tapped the rear of the left car before flooring it and leaving them in the dust, causing a domino effect," the other guy explained, nodding as he narrowed his eyes.
He had something more to add, but the words hovered just at the tip of his tongue, frustratingly out of reach.
