Chapter 410 Zhane’s Hobby
With this newfound realization, Hera felt a weight lift off her shoulders. Thinking this way allowed her to feel less stress and fear about the future.
She could now focus on what lay ahead and pursue genuine connections with them, no longer treating them as mere obstacles to win over or characters from a novel, but as real individuals with whom she could build something meaningful.
With these thoughts, she felt a lightness in her chest, a genuine smile spreading across her lips as she directed it toward Zhane. His eyes lit up, gleaming with warmth as he witnessed her first true smile—one that wasn’t out of politeness or restraint, but a heartfelt expression that showed she was beginning to open her heart to him.
He felt like him feeling very uncomfortable in his core was stirring relentlessly was giving him stinking pain and his muscles contracting but he felt like it was worth it because he managed to at least connect with Hera on a more personal level and bare his heart out to her for her to understand how he feels.
Zhane’s heart warmed as he gazed at Hera, gently pulling her to rest against his sturdy chest while stroking her hair. Instead of his lust overwhelming him, a deep sense of contentment settled in, filling him with warmth. They remained like that for a while, quiet and close, until the intense hunger for intimacy that had once consumed him gradually subsided.
When the urge to pin Hera beneath him finally faded, they both stood up. At first, Hera felt a bit awkward, but as they returned to where she had been standing earlier, they both remembered what Zhane had said. She had lucked out and hit the bullseye, earning her an instant 10 points.
Hera’s earlier excitement returned, and this time, Zhane stepped back, letting her take control. Recalling his instructions, she unlocked the Glock 19, aimed carefully, and steadied her breathing. She focused intently, trying to recapture the feeling she had when Zhane was guiding her.
But instead, a completely different memory surfaced, and she inwardly cursed herself for focusing on that moment. Shaking it off, she cleared her mind and focused on how Zhane had instructed her to hold the gun—steady, calm, and precise. She concentrated on keeping her hand from shaking and bracing her arm to control the recoil, making sure it wouldn’t jerk back and hit her face.
Bang!
