The Return of the Cannon Fodder Trillion Heiress

Chapter 392 HeraIsMySister

Everyone around felt a wave of embarrassment wash over them. The girl’s words rang true—they hadn’t considered Hera’s feelings at all. They had surrounded her, interrupted her constantly, and even intruded on her lunch breaks, all just to be near her and catch a closer glimpse. Now, the realization of their thoughtlessness settled uncomfortably in the air.

Now that someone had pointed it out, the true fans felt too embarrassed to even look at Hera, let alone approach her. They quietly backed off, realizing how inconsiderate they’d been. On the other hand, those pretending to be her fans, merely using Hera’s popularity for their own gain, reacted differently.

Their faces twisted in frustration and embarrassment, but instead of reflecting on their actions, they glared at Hera, silently blaming her for the situation. In their minds, it wasn’t their fault—they believed Hera should do more, should cater to them better, treating her as if she owed them everything, as though she was a servant to her fanbase, which was far from the truth.

"By the way, where did you come from, and why are you here?" Hera asked the little girl curiously as they walked briskly down the hallway toward her classroom. The girl, who had been targeting everyone with sharp remarks, seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, and Hera couldn’t help but wonder about her sudden presence.

The girl, who had been scowling at nearly everyone, turned to Hera with a complete shift in expression. Her earlier hostility vanished, replaced by wide, adoring eyes that sparkled with admiration. "Sister Hera!" she exclaimed, her tone suddenly enthusiastic. "I have a cousin who studies here too, though in a different department. I came to drop off some things from my aunt for her, and once I was done with that errand, I thought I’d take a peek at my idol—you!" She beamed before continuing.

"But then, I saw how these people were treating you with such disrespect. Honestly, I wasn’t planning to interfere. I know you’re more than capable of handling things on your own, probably in ways they wouldn’t expect." She giggled before her expression sobered a little. "But, I figured since they’re your fans, it might be harder for you to push back without getting criticized. And, well, since I had time to spare, I figured I’d jump in and handle it for you." The girl chattered away with a carefree attitude, clearly pleased with herself.

"Honestly, these people just don’t know when to stop unless you put them in their place," the girl huffed, puffing up her cheeks like a chipmunk in frustration. She shot a sharp glare at the nearest students, then dramatically rolled her eyes.

Without waiting for a response, she grabbed Hera’s hand and began leading her toward the classroom. "I’ll be your bodyguard today!" she declared with excitement. "Being with you is literally a dream come true!" She giggled happily, nearly bouncing on her heels as she clung to Hera’s hand, her enthusiasm bubbling over.

Hera found the girl’s straightforwardness endearing and couldn’t help but think she resembled a miniature version of Athena, though Athena’s sharp tongue was far more cutting. Hera even had the urge to pinch the girl’s cheeks, but she resisted, knowing it would be too much for their first meeting—not to mention, there wasn’t time to linger. Still, the girl’s bubbly energy brought a small smile to Hera’s face as they hurried along.
