Chapter 381 Not A Dream
After Zhane heard Hera’s melodious voice, he instinctively reached out to her. Zhane caught Hera’s wrist and pulled her to his chest. Hera would feel Zhane’s chest rising and falling rhythmically, although she felt bad disrupting his good rest but, they are in the way of the other cars and might cause some dissatisfaction with other customers of the Pavilion.
She tried once more, her voice gentle. "Zhane, wake up." But her soft tone only seemed to lull him further into sleep, like a soothing lullaby. With no other choice, Hera decided on a more drastic approach. Glancing down from her awkward position—Zhane’s arms wrapped snugly around her waist and back—she reached out and pinched his well-defined nose.
She didn’t pinch too hard, not wanting to hurt him, but kept her fingers firmly in place. Soon, Zhane flinched in his sleep, his body reacting as he struggled to breathe through his nose. A moment later, he instinctively switched to breathing through his mouth, slowly blinking awake, as if surfacing from a deep, pleasant dream.
Zhane glanced down, feeling a light pressure on his chest and stomach, only to find Hera nestled in his arms. Rather than feeling embarrassed, he met her questioning gaze and smiled softly. "Good morning," he murmured, his voice deep and slightly hoarse, carrying a hint of allure. His eyes were still a bit bleary, as if he hadn’t fully shaken off the remnants of sleep.
Zhane leaned down, placing a soft, fleeting peck on Hera’s lips. Just as she thought it would end there, she quickly realized how wrong she was. His hand, which had been resting gently on her back, moved up to her chin, tilting her head slightly upward. Her lips parted instinctively, and in that brief moment, Zhane seized the opportunity to deepen the kiss, turning it into something slow and deliberate—a smooth, proper kiss that left no room for hesitation.
The kiss was gentle and warm, yet laced with a quiet intensity that made it feel both needy and passionate. Zhane’s hand, which had been resting on her waist, slid down slightly, giving her perky butt a firm squeeze. Hera gasped in surprise, and Zhane took full advantage of the moment, slipping his tongue deeper into her mouth and teasing her own with his, drawing her further into the heated exchange.
Zhane deepened the kiss, alternating between gently sucking on her tongue and playfully nipping at her lips. Hera’s head was spinning—despite all the passionate kisses she’d shared with the others, she still hadn’t mastered the art of keeping her breath steady. The lack of oxygen was making her lightheaded, and all she could focus on was the heat of Zhane’s kiss. Her thoughts blurred, consumed entirely by the intensity of the moment, leaving her utterly breathless.
She felt like she was drowning, and Zhane was her only lifeline. Instinctively, she clung to his collar, pulling him closer, deepening the kiss. Zhane leaned in without hesitation, closing the small distance between them until there was no space left. Their breaths mingled, and they could hear each other’s heartbeats pounding in sync. For reasons she couldn’t fully understand, the sound of it only made Hera’s excitement grow stronger.
