Chapter 364 You’re Here?
The manager led Hera and the group to his most prized horse in the stable—a striking black-and-white warhorse with a glossy coat and powerful build. Its muscular legs and commanding presence set it apart, and it stood noticeably taller than the other horses. Hera was instantly captivated by the horse’s strength and beauty, falling in love with it at first sight.
She couldn’t hide her desire to ride the horse, and the manager quickly noticed her reaction. With a knowing smile, he offered, "Miss Hera, would you like to give it a try?"
Before she could respond, Bry proudly chimed in, arms on his hips and chest puffed up. "Sir, you should know—Sister Hera is a champion rider! She led our Diamond to victory in the recent national equestrian championship!"
"Of course!" the manager replied, though he didn’t react to Bry’s boast the way Bry had expected. Feeling a bit deflated, Bry sensed he wasn’t being taken seriously. But what he didn’t know was that the manager had a gleam in his eyes. He was well aware of Hera’s talent in equestrian, having witnessed her ride her first horse as a young girl.
The horse standing before Hera was the offspring of the very horse she had ridden in her youth. The manager had poured his heart and soul into raising this horse, ensuring it grew up strong, fast, and capable, all in the hope that it would meet Hera’s expectations when she eventually returned to the racecourse.
That’s why he was more excited than anyone else to see Hera admiring the horse he had personally groomed with such sparkling eyes. After Hera’s parents passed away, her grandfather tightened security around her identity, ensuring she remained well-hidden and distanced from any establishment linked to the Avery family. This made moments like these rare and even more significant.
That’s why her part-time job options were extremely limited, forcing her to work only with smaller companies. As a result, no one from their social circle had truly seen or gotten to know Hera. The young masters from wealthy families were too preoccupied with their own lives and paid no attention to people like Hera, whom they considered insignificant. They were only concerned with the affairs of their circle when it involved money.
Although they would occasionally hear rumors about the Avery family, they only knew of the false Avery heiress and had never seen Hera, so they couldn’t connect the dots. Now that Hera was gradually reclaiming her rightful position, the manager felt a surge of excitement. He was eager to assist her and bring her happiness, knowing full well how much she had suffered outside the Avery family’s protection.
The manager eagerly encouraged Hera to take the horse for a run. Before she knew it, she was standing outside the race track, mounted on the horse she had just been admiring, with a stable master guiding her toward the starting line. Meanwhile, Bry, his father, and the manager sat on the nearby deck, watching her with anticipation.
